I offer online sessions for parents and carers to give them the tools and techniques they need to help their young children overcome low-level behavioural and emotional difficulties.

I’ll teach you to use established child psychology techniques to help with your child’s difficulties. I’ll help you to understand the underlying causes and patterns that can trigger or maintain the issues you’re seeing.

My passion is all about prevention – helping to give parents and young children the self-care skills to maintain their wellbeing and prevent escalation. I’ve worked across the age range of children and young adults and I’ve seen how early intervention strategies can make a huge difference.

Start by completing my brief form about your child’s issues or any concerns you may have. I’ll get in touch for us to discuss how I can help. Some examples of the types of low-level issues that I can help with include:

  • Parenting of younger children – supporting sleep, feeding, toilet training and behavioural difficulties.
  • Anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Self esteem/confidence building
  • Low mood
  • Psychological impact of medical conditions, bereavement/loss

Following the initial contact, we will set up an online session at a convenient time. I will take a history of the presenting issues and we’ll start to work through the tools and techniques that can help you to address these. We’ll follow that first call with subsequent sessions and top-ups as required. Many low level issues can be addressed in 3 to 6 sessions.

Sessions one hour in duration and will be online using Zoom video calls.

Please note. If your child has moderate or severe presenting difficulties then it would likely be more appropriate for you to engage with ongoing clinical psychology one-to-one intervention support but I do not offer that service. Your GP may be able to advise you on a recommended clinical psychologist for longer term support.
